FAST’s 2020 Halloween Costumes Inspired By Screenplay
November is just around the corner, and Halloween is quickly approaching! With midterms over, there’s no reason not to celebrate what’s arguably the best holiday of the year in a safe, socially distanced way.
If you haven’t already figured out what to wear because you’re a last minute person like me, or inspiration just hasn’t struck, here are some last-minute but fire Halloween costumes from a selection of our recent favorite and classic movies and tv shows.
Euphoria HBO | S1E2
As one of the most influential shows of late, the outfits in Euphoria offer some serious costume inspiration. Maddy is a huge fan of matching sets, so a cute two-piece outfit with a halter top and pants, preferably pink, blue or purple, would work. Pair it with hoops and a high ponytail and you’re good to go! As for Jules, her adventurous wardrobe is mainly pastel, so anything candy-colored and layered with a mesh top and skirt, or a satin dress on top of a glittery long sleeve shirt, coupled with platform sneakers would work perfectly. Accessorize with fishnet tights, a backpack or a choker and suddenly, you’re Jules.
John B’s effortlessly casual and rugged outfits from Outer Banks bring a nostalgic summer feeling. A half-buttoned Hawaiian colorful shirt with khaki shorts, flip-flops, bandana and a baseball cap (worn backwards of course) will ensure a comfortable yet statement outfit.
Emily from Emily in Paris served some seriously chic Parisian looks. While we can’t travel right now, maybe we can pretend we’re abroad in Paris right now? To replicate Emily’s interesting and eye-catching outfits, pair a brightly colored oversized coat with a skirt, ankle boots, and possibly a beret. Then add a scarf to complement!
Although the season finale aired earlier this year, David Rose from Schitt’s Creek’s sarcastic wit and bold statement wardrobe will not be forgotten anytime soon. A chunky graphic sweater and black jeans or pants coupled with Converse, sunglasses and layered metallic rings will do the trick.
Cher from Clueless has worn some of the most iconic outfits, whether it was for school or a party in the Valley. With Clueless’ 25th anniversary coming up, channel your inner Beverly Hills teenager as Cher and her best friend Dion with a plaid jacket and skirt, along with some knee high white socks and ankle boots. Alternatively, a button down shirt and sweater would work just as well together.
Next up, Agent H and Agent M from Men In Black: International. The name pretty much says it all, but you can never really go wrong with a classic black suit and tie, paired with some sunglasses and a watch!
Last but not least, matching outfits as Mia Wallace and Vincent Vega from Pulp Fiction would be the quintessential homage to the ‘90s cult classic. Recreate the famous dancing scene as Mia with a white button-down shirt, black trousers, a short black wig with bangs complemented with red lipstick. For Vincent, wear a classic black suit and tie (a bolo tie if you can find one), grey socks, and slicked back hair.
We hope this post gave you some ideas for a potential Halloween costume! If not, you could just dress up as 2020 and call it a day - I can’t imagine anything spookier than this year...
