Faux Pas or Fashion: Modeling the Men

This past week at the 2014 Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in New York, we saw a wide variety of fashion - from Chinese take out boxes as clutches on the Kate Spade runway to bleached eyebrows at Alexander Wang.  However, one overwhelming theme among many of the designers was a mens inspired look.  This trend was not just reflected in the cuts and style of clothing, but also in hair and make up.  So what does this mean for us and this upcoming Fall season?  Set aside those feminine hues from spring and bring in moody and more minimalistic make up.  Go natural when it comes to eye and face make up and pair it with simple, pulled back hair.  Fortunately this means less time spent in front of the mirror in the morning and a little more beauty sleep.  For clothes, keep to basic, structural clothing in natural hues.
