WWW: VAlentine’s Day Edition

Unpopular opinion: Valentine’s Day is the best holiday. I truly don’t understand how anyone can hate Valentine’s Day -- there is so much love in the air, everything is red and pink (the best colors), the flower arrangements are gorgeous, and it gives me an excuse to eat nothing but chocolate covered strawberries all day. Another reason why Valentine’s Day is so great is because outfit possibilities are endless. Depending on your mood, you can go fully decked out in vibrant reds and pinks, play with hearts and floral motifs, go simple and chic, do an all leather/BDSM look, feminine and angelic, or just put on your favorite lingerie and call it a day - really anything goes. Here are how some UCLA students are styling themselves this Valentine’s Day!

Noreen is wearing a light pink, ribbed long sleeve with leather pants for a classic and chic look. This is perfect for hanging out with friends or going out on a date! The leather pants also help to elevate the look and give it a little edginess. Overall, her look is really feminine and romantic, which is super fitting for Valentine’s Day.

Third-year Kylee Wiens is wearing a bright yellow tennis skirt paired with a graphic bodysuit. The fishnet top underneath her bodysuit adds texture and gives a grunge-feel to the outfit as a whole. Kylee is a master at accessorizing to create a unified look! Her dice-choker and earrings coordinate with her black and white checkered knee-high socks, the pearl necklace matches the pearl trimming on her platforms, and her amazing makeup plays well with the color of her skirt and bodysuit.

Celine’s Valentine’s Day look is super fun and reminiscent of the 80s! She’s wearing a pair of leopard print skinny jeans, a bright-blue cropped turtleneck, and a ruched yellow tank top. The layering of her tops play really well together - the texture and color contrast between them really makes the outfit pop. She tops off her look by accessorizing with a white studded leather belt and disco ball earrings. I love the maximalist-femme energy this look has, and it is what I’m definitely channeling this V-day.

I hope you’ve found some V-day inspiration from these lovely Bruins! xoxo,
