Mastering the masters

Inspired by the work of Shoichi Aoki, “Mastering the Masters” is an interpretation of early 2000s Japanese cult street fashion. Created in the Spring of 2023, its creators emphasize the emergence of Japanese popular culture and its breadth of influence on the American landscape. The project was shot in the heart of Little Tokyo in Los Angeles, California.
