As fall quarter at UCLA begins, Fashion Week in Paris winds down. Spring 2016 Ready to Wear lines began shows on September 29 and will continue until October 7. While I would much rather be enjoying some macarons in Paris than already starting to worry about midterms, I still found time to find some of my favorite looks from this past week!
Alexander McQueen
A beautifully elegant and feminine collection with plenty of lace.
Silky smooth and cool; an all ivory, ladylike collection with boyish features.
Despite the abundance of earth tones in Balmain’s show this year, I still find myself gravitating towards their monochromatic neutral looks. I absolutely adore both of these mesh midi skirts with long sleeved leotards.
Christian Dior
Crops, coats and crisp colors (hows that for alliteration?)
Elie Saab
Bold lines and prints resulted in a fun and flirty collection. Also, check out Gigi Hadid’s brave statement regarding comments bashing her figure in the high fashion world here.
Zuhair Murad
Zuhair Murad never fails to impress. With a combination of nautical influence and elegant sequins, this line is a perfect ten.
